She hadn’t ridden in a year and a half. I hadn’t ridden in 25… and since we weren’t able to get out two weeks ago, we went down today. A whole bunch of other folks had the same idea, so we had about an hour and a half wait, but then we got an hour and a half on horseback. Not really in too wordy of a mood today, it’s been a tiring weekend, and dinner needs cooking. Guess I’ll just talk to the pictures…
Didn’t get the camera out until we were all the way up at a decent flat turn-around point, and of course had to hand off the camera, then prop it on a rock since I forgot the small folding tripod. Either way, we got some decent shots individually, and together (albeit with me still on the ground)
Something to note, is that when approaching other wildlife, they generally don’t notice you, but just pay attention to the horse. Pretty sure I couldn’t have walked to within this distance after having seen them from about twice as far out…
Overall it was a good day, and not nearly as expensive as I was expecting, so we’re definitely going to do this again in the future.
