20022… I rolled into the next 10k on the bike

So unlike the previous 10k interval, where I was riding home from work… I rolled past 20k on the way to work this morning.  Given that my window for pulling over and getting the 20k odometer picture is, well, 1 mile, and I was in the middle of Kunia Road on the way in to Schofield, I didn’t get it.  Aside from the fact that it was before dawn (right at 0600 in fact) and that there’s a lot of traffic on that road in the mornings, the shoulder is basically dirt, and not flat.  I managed to pull off on a side road on the way home and get the following shot from a field inside the 1-mile stretch where the odo read 20k:

Yep, that’s Diamond Head in the background, but the framing is all wrong because the picture was taken with my iPhone camera instead of the dSLR.  Apparently I’m a no-go at the ‘pay attention to when the odometer is going to roll past another 10k interval’ station this time.  I could have made it to a beach this weekend, but forgot about it until I was on my way out of the neighborhood.  Also didn’t get a picture of the Ninjette with the front end completely pulled apart, but in my defense on that one I was covered in fork oil at the time…

After getting it buttoned back up, I have been experimenting with the new panorama function in iOS 6:

I think at some point I might try this shot again, only with both bikes pointed toward the camera in a 90*-V instead of facing away…
